Phoning 0870 and 0844 numbers out of free minutes

Does anyone know of any mobile phones companies/plans which allow to
phone 0870 and 0844 numbers out of the free minutes.

As far as I'm aware O2 do on some tariffs. And Orange still operate
some old ringfenced tariffs such as Everyday 50 which also do,

But if the only reason you want access to these numbers is to call
abroad then have a look at http://www.simply-fone.co.uk/ where you can
call almost any international number using their 07744 97 3333 access
number. Beware that these calls don't come out of free minutes on
Vodafone and Three Mobile contracts. The other networks are ok.

0845,0870 and 0844 come out of free minutes on all the HIGHSTREET
tariffs.

however on the ONLINE tarrifs they are chargeable calls. i dont know
how much.

you will read conflicting information on websites about whether 0844
comes out of free minutes on o2 conctracts

i thinks the reason for the confusion is that some ONLINE customers
have bought their contract hearing that 0844 calls are free on o2 and
not realising they are free on o2 but only on HIGHSTREET tarrifs.

i got myself an o2 leisure time plus account £20 a month. i get 1000
minutes ( double mins for 6 months = 2000). i call an 0844 number that
would normally cost me 5p a minute from landline but on my o2 contract
off peak 7pm -7am mon to fri and weekends it comes out of free minutes.
2000 minutes for £20 or 2000 minutes for 2000p means that each minute
cost me just 1p a minute. after my six months is up i will be paying
the equivalent of 2p a minute but still very good deal. i call my
fiance in guatemala on 08445665665

I got an o2 online leisure tariff (two years old) and do not pay for
0844/0845/0870 calls. Maybe it is for new customers.

You can also use Vartec from a landline - their packages include 0844, 0845
and 0870 numbers in the inclusive minutes. Only works out good value if you
call them a lot though.
